Personal Perspective

Being able to meet a need at any given time, I assume, is what the University of Phoenix was trying to achieve when they created rEsource. REsource is an excellent help to those of us who have hectic schedules. It being 24 hour a day, 7 days a week is a tremendous help. This masterpiece also offers help with becoming a more informed writer; with an online library, learning team tools, and tutorials.

Having access to rEsource throughout the course of the MBA program is very convenient. REsource helps to alleviate a great deal of concerns for students who have busy lives. Working students, like myself, generally do not want to, or do not have the time to, go on a hunting expedition at the library to acquire the material needed to successfully complete an assignment. Therefore, being able to access the library online has been a time saving tool

Other services offered by rEsource are the Center of Writing Excellence tutorials, the class reading material, which I genuinely enjoy, and the class syllabus. I have found the Center for Writing Excellence to be an exceptional help when writing papers. Its detail and organization in explaining the critical aspects of creating an effective paper is very helpful.

The Center for Writing Excellence offers reviewing services, tutorials and guides, and dissertation services (CWE, 2005). The plagiarism checker helps students with creative writing. It also promotes synergy, saves instructors time when reviewing their students work, and helps students with successful research skills (CWE, 2005).

The latest service that fascinates me is the Writepoint service. This is a service that was not offered to me during my undergraduate studies. Therefore, I find it interesting to have the ability to forward a paper that I have produced, to an automated review system for an evaluation.

Finally, the Tutor Review is also a valued service offered by the University. The one stipulation regarding using the tutor review is that the paper forwarded must be submitted days in advance. Overall, I believe that the Center for Writing Excellence is an outstanding learning tool to use when trying to complete an assignment.

Being able to access the class reading material online has been a wonderful experience for me for two reasons. The first is that it keeps me from having to search all over for the required reading for a particular class. Secondly, it gives me the opportunity to decide whether I want to print the reading material or read it online. Moreover, operating with limited work space, sometimes I choose to read the material online.
