February 18 2007. .

The Academy of Achievement website mainly focuses on all the accomplishments Johnny Cash had successfully achieved throughout his lifetime. Stating facts and notes on how Johnny had surpassed everyone in the country- rock n roll genre with all of his albums, songs, and awards. Johnny was inducted into the country Hall of Fame along with the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. The supporting facts were mostly received from the academy itself. This academy is an actually museum of the living history.

The academy source is a very credible source. The editors of the website are very intelligent and scholarly. The website contains a brief profile on Johnny, then contains a biography, and also contains an interview with Johnny himself. The style of the piece is very presentable and it's easy to read and understand. My overall evaluation of the information given is very high; this is where quite a bit of my information will come from.

This source will be a helpful hand in writing my final research paper. The website really does not prove any points really, other than Johnny Cash is an American legend and icon. The academy is really just all the struggles and hard times Johnny had went through to get to where he was. Johnny Cash is the best of all time country- rock musician and this piece proves that point, which is very helpful to my paper and this source will be used in mine.

The DVD is mainly proving that Johnny Cash is the quintessential American legend of country music. A&E demonstrates the likeableness of Johnny and his fun loving personality. Some of Johnny Cash's most notable performances are also shown in the film. An interview with some of Johnny's closest friends, family members, and fellow musicians are also aired in the DVD. Mainly A&E is presenting to all that watch the remarkable story of Johnny Cash.

A&E is a much known and well formulated TV productions company. A&E is a nation-wide business and is shown all over the world. I have no doubt that the things aired on this DVD are anything but valid. Not only would A&E be in huge amounts of trouble for airing faulty information, but also would be corrected to what was really true.

The style of the idea is put very well together. The performances by Johnny Cash also add a nice interesting touch.

The DVD produced by A&E is going to be a very helpful piece to use with my paper. This is so because I believe that this is the most valid and credible source I have come across. At the same time as doing this it also helps me prove my point I will try to make in my research paper.

3. Campbell, Garth. Johnny Cash: He Walked the Line. London, England: John Blake

Publishing Company, 2003.

Garth Campbell in this well written book is basically proving the point that Johnny Cash is indeed the most recognizable voice in the history of country music. Campbell has the rags to riches story of Johnny's life. This book delves into all the personality aspects of Johnny Cash. Not this entire book is positive, it also shows the more dark and uncomfortable aspects that Johnny had experienced. The support in this book is coming mainly from other musicians that knew Johnny, family and friends.

The source seems very credible and reliable. It appears to be a very thought-out and well written book. There are quotes from Willie Nelson, Paul McCartney, and Bono that are shown in the book. I agree with Campbell in him saying that Johnny is the most recognizable voice in all of recorded music. The style of the book is also very flattering, it is broken up into different sections so you can read what you are interested in right off the top; makes it much more presentable to me.

The main point of this book is really showing Johnny's family life and he became the man he did. The book briefly also talks about Johnny's drug addictions he had to over come.

Rolling Stone is a very credible and resourceful magazine, and the editors of that magazine are who has written this book. Pictures don't lie and there are handfuls and handfuls of pictures backing up most of everything they state about his family life. The overall style of the novel in general is more like an encyclopedia type feel just stating facts for informational purpose. There is really nothing stated to agree or disagree with it's more like just taking it for your knowledge.

The Cash biography type book will be helpful in some ways to strengthen my research paper. This book contains some information that none of my other sources thus far contain. Family was a big part of Johnny's life and should be included in my paper somehow. The information should be included because it will lengthen my paper and also
