Executive Summary

Restoration Youth - Stars of a Brighter Future Club will be a non profit organization situated in my community; the community of Babonneau. My community in time past was a very peaceful, enjoyable and safe place. The young people were bright, intelligent and productive. They were once youth with a bright future. However this has all changed; youth violence and crime is on a rampant, juvenile delinquency is rising, teenage pregnancy is out of control, there’s a high intake of drug and alcohol among the youth, sexual abuse is rising and number of high school drop out is increasing day by day. The purpose of this club is to let young people realized that there is still hope for them and that they are stars of a brighter future. The club aims to restore the imagination, energy and hope of young people in my community. The club endeavors to serve the young population of 945 in the community from kindergarten to high school. The activities of the club will include various sports, arts, music, dance and drama, academical programmes and specialist projects, issuing based work, competitions, trips and opportunities for learning. The organization is dedicated to present opportunities that are an integral part of each participant's learning experience. Every member should be able to participate in the program of his or her choice regardless of race, religion, creed, gender, ability, or financial status. This spirit is fostered in an environment where everyone has a chance to play and learn. It will provide support and guidance to young people and a regular safe place to go. When the youth of the community is restore, the community will once again be a safe, peaceful and enjoyable place.

Situation Analysis

The need for a youth club is validated and magnified by information that attributes long-term value to participants in this program. Numerous studies document the direct value of youth participation in clubs will results in reducing the potential to become involved in drugs, sex, crime, and gang-related behaviors. Right now youth violence and crime and juvenile delinquency are rampant and the club aims to curb or solve this problem in the community. The adult population of the community is crying out for help for the youth. The police department/government, schools and other organizations have failed. The problem is getting worst. At this present time the adult population believes that there is little hope for the youth and that they are slowing dying. The club sees the need to invest in the lives of the youth in a positive and constructive manner before all hope is lost.

Objectives

The objective is to provide this valuable experience to as many young people as possible in a positive and supportive manner. A positive, constructive and meaningful experience is the sought-after result of the All4Sports experience. This experience may assist individuals to better understand their necessary skills that life demands and empower them to realize the choices and options available to them.

Acquire $70,000 of start-up funding through corporate, private charities and government financial support.

Raise an additional $30,000 in fundraising activity.

Provide a positive experience to 945 youth and to enable their parent/guardian to appreciate the value of this experience for their child.

To develop and promote innovative non-formal education programmes for young people and to work with them to develop their potential.

Mission

Restoration Youth Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster a positive learning environment in which the youth develop mental, physical and interpersonal growth; and to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Youth will be encouraged to build their morale, find meaning, self worth and real direction in life by providing a non-threatening environment for them to meet and participate in life challenging activities.

The objectives supporting the club’s mission are as follows:

пЃ¶ To provide a safe, well-supervised place for youth to go during after-school hours (2:00pm to 8:00pm) and for full days during the summer and on weekends.

пЃ¶ To offer a comprehensive program which will provide structured academic support as well as physical, life skills and social opportunities to children and youth.

пЃ¶ To provide methods and techniques to help youth avoid risks involving alcohol, drugs, substance abuse, violence, risky sexual activity and depression

пЃ¶ To employ experience, knowledgeable, and dedicated staff to train and motivate youth.

Service Offering

The "Restoration experience" is designed to offer the following to each participant:

The parents and guardians of the participants also realize benefits. They are able to offer their children a positive, well-supervised experience as they learn the skills described above that does not necessarily require their time.
