Annika Bergstrom comes from a small town in Sweden, but moved to Stockholm a few years ago to have more options when it comes to work and art. She is 24 and has been working in the animation field in Sweden since 2000, but not as long with Flash. She started working with Flash seriously in August 2003, when she began to study multimedia and web production. She had been curious about Flash for years though so when she finally got her hands on it and had time to learn it she couldn't stop. "It's such a fantastic program!" Ð'-Annika Bergstrom

Annika would love flash to become a full-time career, but in the mean-time she continues to work mostly with character design and illustration for animated productions.

Annika's choice animation software is Flash MX. She enjoys using flash for various reasons, its easy to learn for someone who knows a little bit about classical animation and timing, and its useful for so many things.

Annika admires the work of Tim Burton, The nightmare before Christmas has been her favorite movie for years.

Annika's insipiration often comes from the weather. The time between autumn and winter for example always inspires her, she gets some kind of feeling from the frosty colors and the gray sky. Sometimes it can be just a combination of colors that she sees in a magazine as well, or a piece of music. But it has to be something that awakens a feeling that she wants to express somehow.

Annika claims it's always chaos in the beginning, she's worthless at planning a whole project from the beginning to the end before she starts. she make hundreds of crappy sketches that she justs throw them away and if she's lucky she does one that she likes. Then she starts developing that one, still on paper, maybe make a small turnaround and some poses together with proposals for environments and colors. Colors
