Introduction –

In this essay we will discuss about tourism and technology. What impact it has on each other. Tourism has great impact on technology. The first business sector where technology is mostly used is Tourism Industry (Garzotto et al. 2004) We have discussed the trade publications which includes efforts by Canada to attract more Americans and another is more investment in technology.

Meaning of Tourism:

Tourism is a business which provides various facilities to the tourists such as accommodation, information, transportation etc. Now days, one of the biggest sector of Commerce is Tourism (Lwoga N.B,2011)

Technology??????

Technology is considered as a use of scientific knowledge especially in industry. Technology advancement has made the human life easier and better. It is used in every sphere of life whether household or Industrial. Tourism sector is also not remained untouched. Now it has turned to E-Tourism 9 (Buhalis, D., & Law, R. (2008).

This report gives information about the efforts done by Canada to attract more American visitors with which their economy may increase. They have taken technological innovations and this initiative has shown a growth of 70% overnight tourists to Canada. The tourism receipts show an increase from 250 to 810 million by the year 3.

In this case push factor is applicable as people like going to one place again and again makes up their mind to migrating permanently. As there is a destination choice behavior which shows push factor (Goossens, C. (2000).

This report also shows the purpose of the visit which gives information that why more and more people coming to specific destination It can be said that people may go to other places either to migrate or having fun. All these things are possible only with the technology advancement. As it’s not possible to go visit every time a place to make a decision. When the things will be made available online tourists can plan their trip accordingly.

MORE INVESTMENT IN TECHNOLOGY TO ATTAIN GREAT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION:

In this report more emphasis is given to the investors to invest more in technology relating to tourism industry. More technology advancement leads to more customer satisfaction (Bue-Said, J. L. 2016). When the customers will be offered great services their interest will increase towards a specific destination.
