The Effects Of Exercising

According to William Haskell, a medical professor, people who often exercise live an average of three to seven years longer than couch potatoes. This has been proven because it improves overall quality of life and also helps to maintain a healthy weight. On top of that, strength training exercise such as lifting weight and push up can also helps to relieve back pain and arthritis. However, exercising can leads to both positive and negative effects.

First of all, physical and mental health can be improved by doing more exercise. One of the most significant effects is it can strengthen our bones and muscle and this also naturally cause our body to burn more calories. Besides, our heart will be healthier and stronger by exercising . This is because our heart rate can be increased and it leads to a better circulation for blood flow.

Well, exercise is not just about to build muscle and to lose weight. Obviously, it also provides positive effects for our mental health. For instance, exercise causes our brain to produce chemicals called endorphins. These chemicals will create feelings of happiness which helps us to boost our mood as well. Moreover, stress and anxiety can be relieved when we exercise regularly. It also helps to sharpen our brainpower because new brain cells can be created when we exercise.

On the other hand, there are several negative effects when we exercise. For example, working out does involve a risk of injury. This usually happens when people are obsessed in exercising. For instance, over exercise can lead to strained tendons ,sprains and fractures. Next, heat exhaustion or a heat stroke are also the risks of exercising. Thus, we should do a maximum volume of exercise without burning out ourselves.

Furthermore, we may experience low self-esteem if we are too obsessed about our weight and body image. Some people also feel that their mood will drop down if they don’t exercise because they are dependent on it to function properly. Therefore, we should be aware that exercising should be a part of our life for a better healthy lifestyle .

In a nutshell ,exercise can lead to many different results in a human body. Some of the results are good for our physical and mental health while some may leads us to involve injury and depression . Hence, we must focus on the positive effects and try to distract ourselves from the negative effects.
