Paul Percy Harris is born in Racine Wisconsin on 19 April 1868, to George H. and Cornelia E. Harris. Early signs that his mother parents were from the Mayflower. Paul Harris was only to live in Racine until the age of three due to his parent's limited money issues. George Harris had been the man of the house but unable to support the family. Paul Harris now was forced to live with his grandparents. Paul and older brother Cecil are brought, by their father George Harris, to live with Paul's grandparents, Howard and Pamela Rustin Harris in Wallingford, Vermont.

School wise for Paul Harris was kind of rough in beginning. First he was being kick out of Black River Academy. Which resulted in him appealing and thinking he shouldn't have got kicked out of school? Next was sent to University of Vermont were he also was expelled, and no question were ask here. After all of this rough time in school Harris started having family problems. The next day his grandfather died, it shame because he was such influence to him.
