Executive Summary

Maldives, a small island nation that is just beginning to see emerging technological revolution in mainstream media and internet, just over five years ago we did not experience high speed broadband internet. With improvements in infrastructure in telecommunications, technology, one company emerged to keep up with this global technological trend and is looking to further enhance their services to keep up with demand and to further consolidate their position as market leader in Cable TV entertainment.

Founded in 2005 with the merger of two companies, established them self as the largest distributor of Cable television. The company has grown from an analog cable TV provider to highly sophisticated digital TV content provider in May 2010. Setting their service standards at such a high level with both its product superiority and differentiation, they have ultimately become a dominant force in cable TV provision and enjoying the perks of being a monopoly by default in the industry and nation wide Medianet is seeking to further enhance their products both its content package and channel decoder or hardware.

Purpose of this assignment is to identification of the current the situation through SWOT analysis, Strategies for market segmentation, market targeting, market positioning, growth, competition and the tactics. Additionally, integrated marketing communicational issues have been addressed.
