Advertisement are everywhere nowadays . we are exposed to them on the radio, on TV ,

in the trailers for movies on buses , billboards and even via the clothes and possessions of

celebrities. It is impossible to avoid them. Because of this , I think it is inevitable that

they will influence our choices as consumers and impact our lifestyles.

Decision making processes are seldom simple , and this is why they are

vulnerable to the influence of advertisement . If someone is feeling insecure about her

appearance , and she sees a beautiful model wearing certain clothes in an advertisement , she

may feel that if she had those clothes she would be more beautiful , or if advertisements show

enough happy families eating in a fast food chain , parents might automatically think of taking

their children to such food outlets during difficult times to cheer everyone up . Finally , if an

advertisement shows successful young professionals going for holidays on a tropical island ,

young professionals might not feel they are successful unless they also get away for a tropical

holiday . No demographic is immune. Of course , everyone would like to think they are making

their own autonomous decisions but , in reality , people often cannot say just what their

decisions are based on and in these cases , it is , most likely the influence of advertisements is at
