Client
DHL is a subdivision of the German giant containing 510,000 employees worldwide, 325,000 of which work directly under DHL. It is the world’s largest logistics company, not only by number of employees, but also by revenue (€14 billion in 2016). DHL specializes in express deliveries worldwide, using their planes, trucks, ships and trains. Dispersed around Spain, DHL has roughly 80 warehouses, which must be painted in the next year.
Project description
1.4 Company structure
It has been decided that the Team will be divided in four different parts:
1. Finance / Procurement
2. Marketing / Sales
3. Supply Chain
4. Human Ressource
Finance / Procurement: Herbert
The person in charge of this part will have the main task to set the Budget and work closely together with the three other parts and try to fulfil their needs. This person will also lead the groups procurement processes with supplier and service provider.
Marketing / Sales: Miguel
The person in charge of this part will open the negotiation with our customer and take care “translate” the customer needs to the other project team member. Main task is to try to fulfil the customer’s needs and propose a customized offer. After completing the project the Person in charge of Sales / Marketing will hand over the finished project to the customer and start negotiation for following projects.
Supply Chain: Thomas
The person in charge of this part is responsible that any services and products which are needed for the project will be there in the right time and the right place. It will be also his/her job to figure out which products and services are needed.
Human Resource: Matej
The person in charge of this part is responsible to estimate the number of workers which are needed for the project and to hire them. Furthermore, he will oversee maintaining safety standards during the job, and will be the contact person for the hired workers. To help accomplish this, daily visits to the work site will take place.
