Religion is a topic that millions of people try to explain in different ways, yet no one realizes that religion is like a drug. Drugs are not only consumed for its effect; there are hundreds of other factors for it. I’ve known people to do it because everyone else is doing and it comes to a point that you can’t live without it. Religion is the same, people conform to it because it’s something they were either brought up with and/or cannot live without it. Same as how people get to a level of addiction, people have a lot of devotion to their religion.

People who have a strong devotion to religion have a “God” that they look up to. However, however how can someone elaborate on something there is no history for? Sooner or later, they will run out of actual facts and starting running into lies. This is where faith comes into play because in order for someone to have a strong believe in something and not have facts, they must have faith in their God no matter what. Having faith is different in each time period because in our present time period we don’t see many college students having faith in God and we question mostly everything we hear. However someone who lived in a much older time period may not question anything and it would take a long time for them to stop believing in faith.

Most people feel the necessity of believing in something and for the most part the higher being presented by religion does the job. Therefore in order for us to live we must believe in something, and religion fulfills it. If this was the case that we must believe in something why not create our own Gods? The only reason I see behind not creating our own Gods is that it is easier to believe in someone else’s God than to actually create one. Therefore, we have our own moral orders.
