Public Transportation Is The Way To Go

In the passage “Public Transportation is the Way to Go,” the author makes a claim that public transportation offers many more advantages to commuters.  The author supports his claim in many ways. There are three ways which the author supports his claim. Some of these ways include convenience, the use of less gas, and saving money.

First of all how its convenience is that’s you can use the free time to do other things. In the passage it states “people who commute to work by bus or train can use the time to read, study, work or even take a nap.”( Public T. is the way to go paragraph 4). They also would not have to wait in traffic. This cause them to be able to get there earlier or even on time.

Secondly, the way it saves gas is that more people will be driving and no need to get gas. According to the passage “If more people would ride buses or commuter trains to work instead of driving cars, it would translate in to millions or even billions of gallons of gas being saved every year in the United States”. (Public T. is the way to go paragraph 1) That means it would cut back on needing as much gas. An we wouldn’t have to waste as much either.

Lastly, we could save money is by not paying for gas or even repairments. It states “they may also save money because it may be cheaper than driving a car and there are often no parking fees at the station.” (Pubic T.is the way to go paragraph 5) It also states “ it is estimated that a family could save thousands or dollars a year by reducing  the use of, and maybe even eliminating ,the family car.” (Public T. is the way to go paragraph 5)

In conclusion of all of this is why the author thinks that its got more advantages than regular use of cars. This how the author supports his claim. An supporting this claim helps save money, convenience of it and how it saved gas.
