Love

Love is something that means very different things to different people. For some people, love can be romantic, or even sexual. For others, real love is simply unconditional and only truly exists between family members, or between people and a deity. And for some, love is everywhere. It’s felt for family, friends, partners, pets, and even inanimate things. None of these people would be right or wrong, but one thing is for sure, love is the most powerful notion.

You can find it in any partnership. It doesn’t matter if they are boyfriend and girlfriend, married or in a relationship, young or old, or even straight or homosexual. Love is a connection and a strong understanding of each other. Any relationship is made through relatable interests that they find when they first meet; it can be as simple as having the religious beliefs, or seeing that you both love the same things.

This kind of love is often reliant on some kind of chemistry, and the feeling that nothing in the world is more important to you than enjoying the moment you’re in together. Some people feel that they experience love at first sight; where they know from the minute they set eyes on each other that they want to be with that person, but something built on common interests and understanding must be stronger.

The love a parent has for their child can be labeled as love at first sight, this can be the strongest kind of love because it is in our nature to love the children we have. This love starts before the baby is brought into the world. A child feels this same love for their mother; it is truly unconditional, and can be found amongst siblings.

Love is rarely defined because everyone experiences it differently. What one person thinks is love, another may think is obsession. How does someone know when they are in love? How is it possible to tell apart the love of romance and the love shared between friends? In order to understand love, we need to first understand the two major types of love; romantic love and friendship love. People often define romantic love based on its difference from friendship love. Would you kiss your friend? Probably not, but love for a friend is just about the same as the love you would have for a sibling. It is not certainly the things you do with your romantic partner that makes your love romantic.
