A High-Speed Internet Services Analysis

for Companion Pets, Inc.

Executive Summary

Companion Pets, Inc. should provide the office with high-speed Internet access.

This report has investigated three widely known Internet providers.

 Cox Communications

 Qwest DSL

 DiRECWAY Broadband

These companies offer a wide variety of Internet and email services, which will enhance Companion Pets, Inc., allowing fewer interruptions, provide a teamwork network and enhance direct communication connections with less disruption of productivity.

Economically, the utilization of one of these three services would eliminate additional telephone lines, faster communication, and over-all lines of teamwork through direct communications.

Dial-up services are jumping on the highway at the same time going to the same place causes traffic jams. Each employee would wait his or her turn before getting the information that is required. Dial-up Internet connections are connected by feeder roads - routers and switches - that flow on to the main highway. If these routers and switches are jammed with traffic the company is stuck in gridlock. (Internet-Speed-Guide, 2004).

Communication is the key to any business success. Unless potential clients and customers are aware of the business, they will not have the information to contact or to purchase products. In this report, this team will discuss those tools, as well as planning guidelines, to facilitate the key element to communication.
