Giver Thoughts

The cool wind flew through my t-shirt like a blade. My hair streamed behind me. I rode my bike in the parking lot around my elementary school. Like on all summer afternoons, the sun shone brightly against the pale blue sky. I soared up the hill and then down, barley darting the creamy white car, making a perfect circle around my school. This is completely dumb and i do not know what i am doing but I really do not care because I really need to get a good grade on my US history essay and get good grades in general and get a 4..0 gpa and get into a good college like Berkeley. It is my dream college.

Again I zoomed up the hill, but this time instead of making the sharp turn and swinging past the car, the bicycle swerved on the charcoal black asphalt and dashed into the edge of the white car. I tried to push the break but ended up shoving my stomach into the handle bars. The handle dug into my ribs. I shut my eyes, unable to bear the pain. The bicycle screeched on pavement and hurled me across the parking lot. I flew through the air, screaming, but no noise came out of me.

My knee scraped the jagged tarmac as I fell with my face flat on the ground and my jaw plummeted to the ground with a deafening crash. Hot, wet, metallic blood flooded into my mouth. I lay sprawled on the ground, every inch of my body ached. My jaw, my leg completely numb.
