1. Describe the teaching methods used by some of your most effective high school teachers.

Some of the teaching methods of my effective teachers in high school were relating what we were doing to things we are familiar with.

2. Describe some of my concerns about the transition from the high school to the college classroom.

Some concerns were if I could keep up with the increased load of work that has been given to me and if I could manage my time well enough.

3. How is preparation for college classes different from preparation for high school classes?

College requires more preparation than high school.

4. How can a syllabus be useful to me?

A syllabus can tell me what to expect from the class and help me to better prepare for it.

5. How do the instructional methods of college professors differ? Why is it important to understand the methods my professors use in teaching their class?

The methods are different because different professors believe in teaching different ways. It is important to understand their methods so I can learn the way they want me to so I can do well in the class.

6. Discuss why communication with your professor is important to academic success.

Communication is important so when I need help I won't be scared to ask for help.

7. What are some specific things you can do to improve my classroom performance?

I can prepare more than I do for class and I could review more after class of what I learned.
