Differences Between Being a Good Leader and a Bad one

In this scenario, my group and I analyzed the differences between being a good leader and a bad one. We identified the qualities a good leader should include. Good leadership includes responsibility, confidence, and communication. By this, we can compare good leadership with a bad one. An effective leader doesn’t necessarily need to be a good person, which makes it difficult to identify whether it is a good leader or not. Our group tried using the smartest method to be able to work this out by listing qualities and adjectives of a good and bad person, a good and bad leader, and contributing our own ideas while also trying to understand each other’s different point of view. To help us get a better understanding of leadership, we used real life leaders to compare their characteristics to their leadership qualities and to compare a bad leader with a good one, using examples like presidents, teachers, and rulers. Like every group, we had a few disagreements we discussed. Unlike me, my group thought a bad person couldn’t be a bad leader. I stated my opinions and thoughts to try to get my group to understand why I thought that way, without fighting or arguing they simply explained why they thought I was wrong. We understood that everyone has a different perspective so we just agreed on sticking to our own opinion. There wasn’t a better way we could have handled because no one will ever agree with each other and we just needed to learn to accept that others won’t always see what you see. Everyone had a saying and participated in this project all together in the best way possible. Our method was very successful and effective because we got to the point of understanding what good leadership includes and what is takes to be a good leader, it also led us to actually determining the differences between good and bad leaders and how the characteristics of a person can affect their leadership quality.
