English is a coarse which utilizes the use of grammar literature and many other English related devices such as poetry. To maximize an English mark, steps such as proof reading listening well and taking some initiative are some ways to raise your English mark accordingly

If you proof read your work then you will possibly catch some of the mistakes you've made which will raise your mark, less mistakes will help to increase your mark. If you get a peer to check all of your work then they can pick out and correct mistakes that where unseen to your eye, again fixing your mistakes and helping to improve your mark.

Listening Well: paying attention and listening well will make you understand what you are doing better. Child statistic analysis states: 76 percent of children learn orally. So naturally listening make you a better learner and give you the option of communicating what you've learned better. Listening to the teacher(s) and things they have to say could slender increase your vocabulary. With a larger vocabulary these will open up the doors of communication. Communication is also a big key in English Class.

Initiative: Initiative is an important role of learning because the ability of wanting to learn is the first step to learning, performing and functioning well. If Students where prepared to learn even more no doubt that the work would transgress to be easier and easier. Another part of applying initiative in English is having your materials such as writing utensils and stationary, only then can learning take to the improving skies.

Applying these steps will defiantly improve your overall English mark over a certain span of time. Even if it doesn't help it is surely better to use these steps then to not use them at all. Surely they can help out in other areas of English or other fields.
