E-business (electronic business) is, Legal Issues Conducting E-Business

in its simplest form, the conduct of business on the internet. It is a more common it refers to not only buying and selling but also servicing customers and collaborating with business partners. Today, more corporations are rethinking their businesses in terms of the internet and its capabilities. Companies are using the Web to buy parts and supplies from other companies, to collaborate on sales promotions, and to do joint research. Exploiting the convenience, availability, and global reach of the internet, many companies, both large and small have already discovered how to use the internet successfully.

In a society where legal and ethical restrictions are pushed to the max and how the attitude pervades those around us that if there are no rules against something then it is ok to do. The internet is on the rise and a continually developing human being that will live on in perpetuity. As such, it would be wise to ponder the e- business legal and the internet marketing decent issues of b2b,b2c etc, what ever is written and published online will be there for forever. Imagine the billions upon billions of text information pages that are and will be stored for a long time. Now, with the new wireless web mail from cell phones and other pda communication devices, the internet will be disturbing more lives than ever before. Security and privacy concerns along with b-business authoritarian issues will become more prevalent. It will become more difficult to fight out who you can trust online; with all the unethical, illegal, and internet marketing and online advertising frauds and e-business email scams. The exponential growth of the internet and online activity raise a number of new regulatory issues and legal questions.

The power of the web to reach to the world carries with it a variety of legal issues, often related to intellectual property concerns, copyright, trademarks, privacy, etc., particularly in the context of doing business on the internet. Authorities seeking to apply their laws in traditional ways or to expand legal control over international links face many challenges due to global nature of the internet.

Approximately 100 countries now enjoy internet access, and a recent survey reported that there are approximately 20 million internet hosts worldwide. The number of internet users is currently estimated to be in the region of 100 million people. In the modern era of electronic technology, many people want to get their work done quickly with little effort. At times, people forget or do not mull over the legal and ethical values of their procedures. E-commerce presents a world of opportunity for doing businesses, reaching global markets and purchasing without leaving the home or office. E-commerce can provide opportunities to improve business processes, just as phones, faxes and mobile communication have in the past. However, just as any new business tool has associated issues and ricks so does e-commerce. The issue of law on the internet is a complex one. Between the two all or nothing boundaries lies a broad spectrum of possibilities , many people revel in the freedom to express themselves and the freedom from prohibitions such as zoning restrictions that the internet apparently affords. With no law at all, however, the internet would be no place to conduct business or pleasure. Laws give people certainties about their rights and responsibilities, they make life more conventional. "Without predictability, business will not be able to act efficiently, or price services effectively," said Thomas Vartanian, a Washington, and D.C based lawyer. Some federal, state and territory governments encourage the adoption of electronic commerce by enacting and enabling justification. In Australia many bills and acts have been passed to resolve legal issues and make Electronic Transaction Act (ETA).

ETA enables contractual dealings, such as offers, acceptances and invitations, to be conducted electronically, and also allows people to use an electronic signature to satisfy and legal requirement.

Global companies such as Riordan Manufacturing, Kudler Find Foods, Baderman Island and Boffy have the responsibility to deal with some of the legal issues such as how to form contracts, abide by consumer protection laws, and create privacy policies and protect database. By applying laws and sketching boundaries around the borderless internet do we negate the term "freedom of information?"

Legal structure affects international transactions on the internet, it restricts the potential growth of the internet prematurely, and rapid changes in technology do not allow enforcement of specific laws in cyberspace. Whiles shopping on the internet, most people typically do not think about what is happening in the background. Web shopping is generally very easy. We click on the a related site, go into that site, buy the required products by adding it to your cart, enter your credit card details and then expect delivery within a couple of days.
