PART I – CLI OF 12345B XYZ

PART II – ILR of 12345B of XYZ

SE=S

Likely to take initiative often and is action oriented which is an essential precondition for a leader.

LOC-S which means he is likely to reinforce success/reattempt in failure leading to improvement in actions.

3.

Big-5

O=S. Hence likely to attempt new things and is open to suggestions/criticism often.

C=S. Hence likely to execute tasks systematically and diligently often.

E=S.Hence gains energy while interacting with others often and hence has the potential to enhance circle of influence.

A=S.  Hence the person is ability to assert own view often.

S=R. However, this needs further analysis with the help of EQ.

4.

EQ. awareness own=S; positivism=S and control=S.

Awareness of own emotions, positivism and control are S which means the person can control own emotions often. The person should use one’s positivism more to reappraise emotional situation to be able to control one’s emotion more often or most of the time.

EQ. awareness others=I; empathy=R; adaptation=R.

Person is likely to identify other’s emotions only infrequently and show empathy and adaptation to others emotions and enabling others to adapt their emotions only rarely. If the person focus on empathy and use this to adapt, and improve awareness of others emotions by closely watching emotional response of others expressed through facial expressions, voice and body language, then, the person would be able to have higher EQ.

EQ. Conflict management=S. Hence uses collaborative method.

5.

Integration of SE/LoC/Big 5/EQ

The individual is likely to take initiative often in new and innovative ways as also execute them systematically and diligently often. Since the person can increase his circle of influence, the person has the potential to increase one’s O which is a focus area. The person asserts and does not tend to compromise own ideas. Hence the person can create sufficient II by gaining credibility and respect and consequently achieve IM. The person has the potential to achieve IS.

The person can control emotion often; but can adapt to others emotion only rarely and that too if the person identify others’ emotions which could be infrequent. The latter is likely to affect his gaining II and consequently IM.  Hence adapting to others emotions and helping others to adapt to their own emotions needs focus so that the person’s ability for II and IM increase. Empathy, in particular, may come in the way of creating IC.

Conflict management style is collaborative and hence it would support in creating II and IM.

6.

Interpersonal/FIRO-B. Overall=S; expressed=S; wanted=S.

Overall IP relationship score indicates the person tends to seek IP relationship often. The person also expresses need for IP relationship often and also wants the same.

Inclusion. eI=G; wI=R. With eI-G, the person is likely to include people in the person’s team/group as also get included in other’s team/group most of the time. However, wI=R which means that the person may enjoy such inclusion only rarely. Hence his heart may not be in the group though the person may express the need to be part of groups and may actually get included in many. This might affect performance in some groups where the person is not well engaged. Hence the person may find it challenging to create II in some groups while easy to do so in others.

Control. eC=R(H) or 9; wC=I (0). Hence the person may allow others to take initiative only rarely. When it comes to accepting guidelines and instructions from others, the person may do so only infrequently. There is internal inconsistency in these scores i.e., controlling too often but seeking freedom of action without any control equally often.  Hence the person will find it challenging to create IS. The person may also find it difficult to nurture other transformational leaders which is the hallmark of a true TFL.

Affection. eA=R(H) or 9; wA=R(H) or 9. Though with both scores high, it may appear that there is no internal inconsistency, the person may be expressing affection far too much than practical in a workplace context and may want the same behavior from others. The person may gel well with similar category of people. But those who seek less affection may interpret the person’s showing of affection as intrusive. Also those who tend to express less affection may be ignored by the person because the person may not find reciprocity. Thus the person may find it easy to create II and IM with category of people like oneself but difficult to do so with the opposite category. When eA is moderated, the person has high potential to create IC.

7.

MLQ. IIA=S; IIB=R; IM=S; IS=S; IC=S.

Although the person shows S in IM, IS and IC, the score for IIB=R is of major concern. Further, the scores in wI, eC, wC and eA are likely to make it difficult for his TFL to bloom unless the person takes care of these issues. Thus his strengths in Big 5, SE, LOC are likely to be negated at least partially by challenges in the IP relationship.

MLQ. CR=S; MBE(A)=R; MBE(P)=S.

The score of MBE(A)=R in TXL also can limit his TFL Behavior though he has S score in all TFL factors except IIB.

MLQ. Eff=S; Sat=S; Extraf effort=S.

The individual feels effective as a TFL and feels satisfied of being so and is willing to put in extra effort to be TFL. This gives potential for easy growth as a TFL.

8.

Overall

The overall impression is that the individual’s relatively strong individual factors are negated to some extent by the challenges the person confronts in the IP area. To enhance the TFL, the person should focus on limiting the preference to exercise control on people and begin to moderate showing affection to others. The person should also look at own TXL behavior.

9

Potential for TFL (based on general impression based on data)

Has high potential to become a transformational leader since only IIB is R. Comment is subject to improving wI, eC, wC, eA and TXL-MBE(A) and thereby improving IIB.

10.

PPT. nPow=dom; nAch=dom; nAff=insignificant.

The comments in 1 to 9 should be seen in the light of PPT in which the nPow and nAch are near equal with nAff=0. The scores in SE, C, LOC tends to get corroborated with the scores of nAch. nPow dominants and corroborates eC (R-high) and wC (R-low) scores.

The score of empathy=R and eA=R (9) should be seen in this light of nAff scores and a exploring whether the person subconsciously misses/missed affinity may be done subject o the expertise of the FA. A revisit of the content of the PPT by the FA to highlight this is recommended.
