What I Believe

Christianity has lost its entire luster over the years due to commercialization, convenience, and separation. I believe this to be true through experience and research. Commercialization has brought money, greed, and personal gain to my faith. Convenience has lead to a decline in the value and moral standing. Separation is occurring due to so many different religious denominations. My favorite passage and words that have been lost to many are as follows: "Holy Father, keep through Thine own name those whom Thou hast given Me, that they may be one, as We are . . . Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word; That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us" (John 17:11; 20-21). This passage to me sums up how I am to worship, but, so many others would probably lack the ability to interpret this and continue on the wrong path society has paved for them with greed, selfishness etc.

Christmas is a prime example of the commercialization of Christianity. Happy Holidays! This is the worst greeting ever. It is a slap in the face for true Christians when commercials, media and businesses advertising products hit me with "Happy Holidays!" Talk about brushing of your faith and celebration of our Lord and Savior. May seem this is a harsh
