What am I doing here now? There are a couple of ways to answer that question. It all really depends on how you look at it. In this case, it's more about how you "tackle" the question. Probably the easiest route to go would be to just talk about what I'm actually doing at this moment. There isn't really anything complicated about that. I'm sitting in my room in front of my computer screen listening to music primarily thinking about what words I can say to fill 2 or 3 acceptable pages of thoughts to hand in to you. I could go a little deeper into the back of my mind but that's really not important, necessary, or anything I really want to get into right now.

I could always just look at the question in terms of school and where I'm headed. How did I get to where I am now? Which would lead to "What am I doing here now?" After a long pause I've just decided that right now I'm the process of working my way towards some of my goals. Some of them are very open ended but I know that where I am now is a place that I need to be. Taking this Psychology class doesn't seem like it's necessary to get to where most of want to go but I can definitely see how it can be used. We need to be able to have an understanding of our clients and of the type of consumers we would be trying to reach. I digress, for I'm getting off track. What am I doing here now? I can you tell one thing that is certain, I'm here now wondering how someone can fill 2 to 3 pages with serious information about what they're doing here right now. As soon as I heard the topic of this paper that previous statement was the first thing that came to mind.

If you want to take the question into its vaguest form I guess you can say that what I'm doing right now is living. I'm alive and I'm breathing, that's usually a good thing. It just seems too simple when you put it like that though. What are we really doing here now? Somehow it seems that one way or another we're here doing our part in keeping this world going (At least the world that we're used to). Now you've got me really perplexed by this question. Thanks a lot.

I could take the question into a darker tone and say that we're all just waiting until the end of line. That's too morbid though, it feels like something I would've said when I was 13 and immature. I guess we all have some sort of purpose though, right? That's more of a rhetorical question in a way. Thinking that we're all just sitting around until we get a V.I.P. pass into the underworld is just ridiculous. I'm sure it seems that people such as the bums on every street corner in this city don't contribute to what we're all doing here now but It seems that they do. How we get to where we are is primarily affected by the decisions we make and the decisions of those around us. For example, if a woman is forced to make a decision between two important men in her life...all three lives are going to be changed greatly by such a decision. Even lives outside of the immediate decision, such as another woman who will meet the rejected man, will be affected by that first woman's decision. What I'm doing here now is rambling and getting slightly off-track.

Maybe I can look at the word "here" and figure out what to say based on that. If I think about "here" in terms of location I could talk about what I'm doing here in my room. Which is a question I've already answered, I'm here listening to music and contemplating the question you've asked us to right about. I could also think that it could've been in terms of the classroom since you asked us this question there. When I look at it that way though "here" becomes "there" because I'm no longer "there" in class and instead, I'm "here" in my room. I'm definitely putting way too much thought into this but that's what we do in psychology, right?

I could also look at the word "here" in terms of time. That could also lead to some "here" and "there" confusion in terms of where the question was asked and me asking myself
