Not all 16 year olds are bad drivers. It is stupid that California penalizes all young drivers. The State of California doesn't understand that teenagers have trouble getting to school and sporting events because of parents that work. Also, the teenagers that are on the teams or that go to school with them can't drive them because, they haven't had their license for a year. With an unrestricted license it would make life less hectic for parents and teens.

We are teaching the kids responsibility by not restricing their licenses because, if they were to get caught doing something stupid they would get the same punishment as everyone else. Some times teenagers get let off easy because they don't know what they are doing, they should if they passed there test. Some times kids need rides after school but because of the law that is enforced right now, teenage drives cant give other teens a ride home and because of this many kids are forced to ride there bikes ,skate boards and scooters to school and home. This causes kids to ride on dangerous and unsafe roads which means that they are more likely to get hit or even killed by a car.

As you know most teenagers go to parties and normally they drink illegally and get drunk. With having a restricted license the kids that have a car would get in there car and drive home because no one could take them home, but with having a unrestricted license they can have a designated driver who would not drink and would be responsible for getting the kids home. This would help with less kids drinking and driving killing innocent people.

Many teenagers leave or sneak out of the house after ten. This is most dangerous for girls because there are sexual predators out there, which are looking to kidnap or rape them. With an unrestricted license 16 year olds would be able to go places safely with out breaking the law. If you were to be walking around at such a late hour you never
