The journey to achieving what you want in life, personally or professionally, begins with a simple decision - deciding what you want to achieve. Once you have firmed up on your goal, the process to achieving that becomes easier. What is critical is for us to breakdown the goal into achievable sub-tasks / activities and a timeline by when you want to reach them. A key ingredient to make sure you reach the goal faster is Dedication and Perseverance; they go hand in hand and play a complementary role as the route to success is bound to have many setbacks and failures. You shouldn’t get diffident and lose hope on encountering a setback but instead hold your nerves and stick to the decided plan.  

Passion is another crucial element required to excel in your endeavor. If you do not have passion for what you do, chances of excelling in it are very slim. Consider the example of an entrepreneur. He is a person who gets started with zeal and looks to bring about a revolution in the industry in which his organization operates. Entrepreneurs such as Elon Musk, Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are the ones who have excelled in their fields as they were visionaries with revolutionary ideas, backed up by well executed plans. All of them faced setbacks in the initial years, but their passion and perseverance drove them to achieve

success and create products that we happily use today.

With easy access to so many things over the internet, we are spoilt for choices. In this era of data and information, literally everything is made available on our fingertips. It is left to us as to how best we utilize this and make the best of it. We need to keep our “eyes and ears” open and networking helps us achieve this in an effective manner. Building relationship with people is a key and staying connected with people will help us to navigate the challenges and roadblocks that we encounter. Learning from others will help us to save time on trying to invent something new.
