Chapter 1 - The letters

Hey George! 11-10-1988

Where have you been lately? It has been ages since we last hung out or even talked for that matter. Yeah, anyway, I was just wondering how you were and how your life has been lately, and all that jazz. So, when you get this respond and maybe we could go out or something.

Talk to you later!

Mike

P.S. It is a good thing you still live in Arkansas or I would have never found your address.

Hello Mike, 11-15-1988

Yes it has been a long time, my ambidextrous friend. Haha, you and your uncanny skills that no one else has. Good times we had with your talent of writing with both hands. And it seems like just yesterday we were hanging out after our senior year every day. Now look at us, 9 years later and finally getting back to talking to one another. But what a time it has been. I was talking to one of my friends after we graduated, and he told me about some experiments he was doing, and at the end of the day, all I have to say is that thus ended a day memorable to me; it decided my future destiny. It didn't really decide it, but I decided it based off of that conversation. Soon after I went to college, and as of right now, I just finished 8 years at Stanford researching the human brain, and some other sciences. I am working on a new project that I am really excited about, and trust me; it is going to be amazing! Other than that, nothing really has happened thus far. And what about you my friend, how are you, what has been going on lately? We are definitely going to get together after I finish this project.

See you soon,

George

George, 11-18-1988

Yea we had some good times back then. Ok, that sounds pretty good just send me a letter once you are done. Then we can work something out. Respond A.S.A.P. because I have a lot of things I want to share that are better telling in person. But yea...I will see you later and good luck with what you are working with.

Mike

Hey George, 4-29-1989

I am getting a little worried about you being the altruistic person I am. You said it would take you a bit and it has been a little over 5 months now. Well, as soon as you get this respond so I can make sure you are ok. I am probably going to come over on the 31st if you do not reply before-hand telling me if it is not a good time. So yeah, I hope everything is ok. If not I will see you on the 31st!

Peace dude,

Mike

Chapter 2 - Getting ready to leave

Mike lives in the peaceful town of Pillaburgs in the wonderful state of Arkansas. There is probably 1200 people in this town, so Mike knew just about everyone. Nothing ever really goes on down there, but still, he will never move away because he says it is his town, from when he is born, till when he dies, he will live in Pillaburgs.

It was an early afternoon on April 31st, and since it was Mike's day off, he woke up at 11:30AM instead of the usual 6:15AM. He got up, and decided to make some breakfast. He pulled out the eggs, the pan, and some butter, and made himself a big helping of scrambled eggs. Of course, he also made some bacon strips, and some toast to eat with the eggs.

While he was eating his breakfast, it occurred to him that today was the day that he was going to go and visit George, unless George had written him a letter that came in today. Mike continued with his food till it was all gone, and once it was gone, he went to go shower and do his daily routines to get him ready for the day. By the time he completed all that, it was 12:45PM, and he figured he still had enough time to go down to the local coffee shop and get a De-cafe coffee to waken him up a bit. So he got his things, got into his car, and left to Monique's Diner and Coffee Shop.

Chapter 3 - Someone Special

He arrived at Monique's within 10 minutes of getting into the car, and right when he walked in, he went straight to the right side. The left side in this area was the Diner, and on the right side was the Coffee Shop, which also contained bakery items like cookies and muffins. He went up to the counter and ordered a large de-cafй coffee, and a chocolate chip muffin for later. He gave her the money and started drinking his coffee 2 minutes later.

On the right side of the Coffee Shop there were 2 couches, one was full, and the other was a 2-person couch with only one lady there. This caught Mike's attention because: one, he doesn't have a girlfriend, and two; she is very pretty so he thinks.

Mike goes up to the girl and asks, "Is this seat taken?"

She looks up at him and replies with a smile, "Nope, its all yours."

So mike sat down and started to watch the basketball game that was on while drinking some of his coffee. It was the Knicks vs. Pacers and he really could care less about both of those teams. So he looks at the girl next to him, which was reading a book that he could not see the title of. "What book might you be reading if you don't mind me asking?"

"Ha-ha, I don't mind at all. I am actually reading a biography of Rush Limbaugh. I know its not an exciting read, but still, I agree with the guy on some of his views and I want to see how he grew up." She then looked over at him, and stated, "I don't know if you were wondering but my name is Franchesca. What is yours?"

"I'm Mike, nice to meet you Franchesca." He reaches out and gives her a handshake. "Franchesca, wow, you have a beautiful name, but that's not unusual for a girl that is as pretty as you to have a name like that." He responded assiduously and blushing a little at what he just said, because after all, he hadn't really had a serious girlfriend up-to-date.

"Awe, you are soo sweet." She told him with a reassuring smile.

"I am sorry if I am being a little forward, but if you have no plans today, I am going to go see my friend from high school
