When it comes to sports in college where is sportsmanship found? Where does sportsmanship start and finish? Is sportsmanship important in college today? These are some of the questions that I will cover in this paper on sportsmanship.

If you look for sportsmanship in college sports where will you find it? When you are looking for sportsmanship in college sports you can find it anywhere. You can find it in a player or the players on the field. The way that they react to certain calls or blocks can show sportsmanship. You can even find it out in the crowd. Sportsmanship is the way you conduct yourself while playing or watching a game or sport. If you are screaming, and trash talking someone, then that is an example of bad sportsmanship.

When is a good time to teach your child good sportsmanship? You should start teaching your children about sportsmanship when they are young. The best time might be to teach your child about sportsmanship when they start playing sports. When you attend your child's sports event always show good sportsmanship. You should offer praise and encouraging words to all athletes, including your child's opponents. Never openly berate, tease, or demean any child athlete, coach, or referee while attending a sporting event. (Kendrick, Charleton).

While you are watching television at home you can practice sportsmanship. When you are watching a sports game have your child nearby. Have your child give you his or her opinion about players who showboat and taught their opponents. The best way for you to do this is by looking for "teachable Moments" regarding sportsmanship. Children are taught how to positively react or how to negatively react when they win or lose when they are little. This means that most likely the parents are teaching their children about sportsmanship. What every the parent teaches the child that's what they will carry throughout life. Negative sportsmanship will get you kicked out of game or suspended from a game. Positive sportsmanship will take you very far in life.

How can you have good sportsmanship and win at the same time? It is very easy to do, learn has much as you can about your sport! If you study the rules for your sport, show up for practice and work very hard you can win. Remember to talk politely and act courteously toward everyone before, and after games and events. If you do these things and stay cool even when others are losing their tempers then you are showing good sportsmanship. (Sanders, Steve Jan.2005).

You should always show good sportsmanship even when you are losing. Try to acknowledge and applaud every play in the game. It is good to acknowledge even the ones that the other team makes. If the officials make a call that is against you accept it gracefully and move on. Remember that officials are not perfect, but they try their best just like you. (Sanders, Steve Jan. 2005).
