This was telling us the ways of Massachusetts Bay colonist, how they must work together as one man, entertain each other. They had to hold each other in brotherly love, mourn together, suffer together. They shall work together, be patience and gentle with each other. They were willing to abridge their necessities to help a common group, they were supposed to keep the bond of peace together so that the lord might dwell among them. They would also shame the faces of god's servants. In doing this they hope to be able to gain the praise of god and be the “city upon a hill”. If they do not follow these rules they will never truly de revealed the face of god. If they are to disobey the lord their prayers shall be turned into curses until the land withers. They will be shamed by the faces of many. This was the first government document in the new world, these were the rules that were followed in colonial New England. Made by John Winthrop to control the colonists as they settled, to make sure there was no indifference between the people. That there was a common wealth. This document clearly shows how the New England colonies worked in colonial America, they had to work together to grow and thrive. They weren't able to live if not everyone pitched in. It wasn't a very tame land yet, and if they didn't work together they could die.

“Sinners in the hands of an Angry God” Explains what would happen to a sinner in colonial America. It says their is no one man who can withstand the wrath of God. He is not only able to cast a wicked man to hell but he is able to do it easily. A prince must show his power with his men but God needs none of that. God’s enemies may be great in numbers, but they are easily broken into pieces. God can easily damn his people to hell, they deserve to be in hell. This is so that divine justice stands in every moment. Justice calls for an infinite punishment for all their sins. This is telling us all about the thought of colonists, how the perceived Christ. This will teach us the out look and thought of Christ by the colonists, If they presented him as a bad unforgiving, cruel God, or a kind loving God. In colonial America it is easy to tell that the colonists lived a stressful frightening situation. They must have believed that because they were put into this situation the lord was an unforgiving creator. They feared leaving their colonies to trade, leaving their homes to farms and gather. They feared sleeping and every waking moment. They could’ve also easily thought that the lord was a gracious man for letting them escape the cruel king of the old world and letting them govern themselves. Their opinions could’ve easily been both but we could only learn through the teaching of the subject.

George Washington's Rules of Civility was teaching men to be civil and gentle. It including rule such as “Every action done in company, ought to be with some sign of respect, to those that are present.” It was a guide to being a gentlemen saying to all what not to do to be mature. We shouldn’t hum or finger tap in the presence of others, we shouldn’t fall asleep when people are talking. When you see a crime being brought to justice you may be happy but also feel sympathy. If you don’t succeed don’t blame others you can only blame yourself. Don’t use any vile language, no cursing
