Henry and Mudge The First Book of their Adventures

Statement – using the statement model, this book introduces the story of Henry and Mudge is henry’s best friend. Henry’s love for Mudge leads to their inseparable bond and lasting friendship. Henry and Mudge did everything together and went everywhere together. Their experiences shared and love for one another changed their lives forever.  

Elaborate – Henry was a lonely boy an only child with no siblings to play with. Henry wanted a brother but his parents refused, so Henry suggested he wanted a dog. His parents granted him that wish and they went to buy one. Henry went with his parents to the store; at the store Henry met and fell in love with a little puppy he named Mudge.

Exemplify – They fell in love with each other and became inseparable. Mudge grew quickly and became an unbelievable 180 pound dog with a big heart filled with love for Henry. Henry always thought they would be together forever. They did everything together such as eating ice cream together, playing together and walking to school together. Even though one day in a dream Mudge went missing, this made Henry sad. However, he realized it was not done on purpose, and Henry knew that Mudge will always love him and find a way to come back home. Mudge knew he never wanted to be alone so he always stayed at Henry’s side.

Illustrate – Mudge loved to smell everything. Mudge smelled Henry’s lemon hair. He smelled his milky mouth. He smelled his soapy ears after Henry’s baths. He smelled his chocolate fingers. But mostly Mudge loved Henry's bed. Because, in Henry's bed was Henry, here is where he can stay close safe, and secure knowing Henry was always there with him.
