Rosa parks was an African American civil rights activist, later called "Mother of the Modern-Day Civil Rights Movement" .On December 1, 1955, Parks became famous for refusing to obey bus driver James Blake’s order that she give up her seat to make room for a white passenger. This action of civil disobedience started the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which is one of the largest movements against racial segregation. She helped launch Martin Luther kings movement of civil rights.

Rosa parks was the first �black’ citizen to stand up for civil rights (that’s recorded). Parks was not only African American she was also part first nations and Caucasian. She grew up with separated color sections in buses, schools, communities, and towns. Growing tired of these rules, she changed a nation, not only a nation but countries, cultures, and society by refusing to give up her seat to a �white’ man.

Even after being arrested for violation of Chapter 6, Section 11 segregation law of the Montgomery City code, Parks was striped of her job and had to pay extra fees. Until she moved from Montgomery to Virginia because she couldn’t find a job, and she was having arguments with martin Luther king and other civil rights leaders.

Rosa Parks is someone who changed the world and gave colored people civil rights. At the end of her life she was a hero America. She was awarded over 40 medals for her �act’. She was even awarded metals by president bill Clinton and President George bush
