The United States of America had been preparing for the blow of Hurricane Rita. They resorted to mass, mandatory evacuations. The evacuation seemed more necessary especially after hurricane Katrina smashed into the swathe of the gulf coast and left behind some of the worst damage any hurricane ever has. Now we must consult with one another about the real effects of this hurricane that ravaged Texas, Which is, besides Alaska, the biggest oil producer in North America.

Although there were Thousands of people losing everything they had. The topic every one talks about and most people care most about is that people will have to pay maybe a couple of cents more for gas. Automobiles are the number one producer of greenhouse emission, which in turn well cause the earth to warm. When the earth warms the are major affects: the biggest being the rising oceans, therefore causing the major currents in the oceans to change which causes major climate change which cause major hurricanes. Hurricane Rita Forced 87 oil rigs came in of the Gulf of Mexico and for 20 oil refineries to be closed temporarily. These rigs and refineries produce 485 billion liters of oil daily (5.4 billion barrels/day).

The second implication would be the fact that on September 1st, 05 hurricane Katrina smashed into New Orleans. Causing death to hundreds, if not thousands, of people. And destroying a major city that has still not even been close to being back to normal and will not be for a long time to come. Most residents of the city lost everything when the levies broke and water flooded the city; up to six meters in places.

As they finally were getting a hold on things in New Orleans Rita had to Rolled on through and caused several repaired levies to be breached again by Rita's heavy rains, winds and 2.5 meters tall tidal storm surge.

Although Hurricane Rita hit Texas with a rating of only 3 still was good of everyone to leave just to be sure. I am proud
