I, personally felt like my experience in this "Interpersonal Communication" course over the past week was pointless. It was also a waste of my time and money. The text book titled Ð''Interpersonal Communication Relating to Others' by Steven A. Beebe, Susan J. Beebe, and Mark V. Redmond states on page nine that "being skilled in interpersonal communication can improve relationships with family, friends, lovers, colleagues and along with physical and emotional health.' I have been communicating just fine for the past twenty three years, so in my opinion I don't understand how this course and or book is going to help me communicate any better.

The majority of the material that was gone over this past week had no effect on me, however, on pages twenty-two through twenty-four it states four interpersonal communication myths in which I agree with one of them. The myth states and I quote "More words will make the meaning clearer." Adding more words to an already unclear conversation is not going to clear things up. In fact adding those words will more than likely make the conversation harder to understand because, you are just piling more unclear information on top of previously stated unclear information. Just as I wrote adding more words made my sentence more complicated and harder to comprehend.

In conclusion I once again feel like I have wasted my time. The time that it took me to write this reflection paper I could have been studying for my Veterinary Technology course, which in my opinion is not a waste of my time.
