WHAT DO YOU THINK PSYCOLOGY CAN DO FOR YOU ?

Lets talk about Pyscology first .

Definition -> Psychology is the science of behavior and mind, comprising all aspects of conscious and unconscious experience as well as thoughts. Basically it’s a science that studies human’s behavior , and their physiological and cognitive processes . Thus it applies accumulated knowledge of science to all practical problems in life . [ 1 ]

        Psychology as a science – When talking about psychology as a science , mainly we use         research to determine general / universal human behavior [

        Psychology as a profession – It mainly includes treatment of individuals with         psychological disorders and different ways that its research can be applied in real life

Evolution [3]-> Includes some phases psychology went through to evolve itself

        a.) Pre- Scientific Era – Contribution of Aristotle and Hippocrates .

        b.) Meditation to Science  - Proposed by Rene Descartes ( 1630 )

        c.) Wundt’s Philosophy of Structuralism (1879 )

        d.) Functionalism – Proposed by William James ( 1890 )

Benefits - >

Greatest advantage of studying psychology is that you not only learn how brain works generally, but also learn about using it in specific situation . For an instance , thinking critically. Basically Psychology is nothing but the study of how people think, so if you study it , you can outsmart people by your skills u developed in psychology thus making a second guess to what  a person might be  thinking at any time .Not only this , through critical thinking you can be a good seller as you are understanding how people think and what appeal most to them . Similarly u have a great advantage in designing websites and advertisement industries . Because of your skills u developed in psychology u know what people like . What they think about specific things . [4]

How its beneficial for me ->

Now , coming to the main thing . It can really prove to be a great help for me . Psychology may increase control over my life; it can offer some good techniques for improving my memory, eliminating the impossible and may increase my influence power . As mentioned earlier it increases individual’s skill for critical thinking . I can never be uncomfortable in life and relationships as I will know exactly what my partner / family member wants. While having some group meetings or in projects, it may improve my leadership skills as it will increase my experience of life . I can surely get a better job then if I develop those skills with Psychology . It will guide me about working of my brain , thus I will realize what I need to do to learn more and have peace in my mind at same time. It might guide me actual time I should sleep for keeping my brain in excellent condition thus helping me to achieve better grades and succeed in life .Also it will guide me to make more accurate decisions and probably wise financial decisions too . Thus, psychology and the education are related . And psychology will play a major role in my future. [5]
