"Our Ecological Problem and Land Use"

We as people are very privileged to be land owners. What exactly is a land owner entitled to? Everyone has their own perspective on what they can, and should be doing with their land. I think to often people take for granted the land that they own or use and this is causing us to destroy our own ecosystem. Primarily, what does our use of land say about who we are what we value and believe?

Land owners have more choices to make than those who do not own land. Choices are sometimes limited by the characteristics of the land. If the land is very rugged, or mountainous then it probably hasn't been tampered too much. Most of the land in the United States is privately owned. Land use is constantly changing. Everyone has their own uses for their land. It's hard to determine exactly how the use of land can help to show what types of people we are and what we believe in. Most of the land around us has commercial buildings towering over it. Our use of land seems to be mainly used to please people. In our country we seem to put up buildings instead of actually living one on one with the land like some other countries. We would rather put up a subway then grow our own garden. Preservation is one of the main things that I think needs to be used more in our country, although we really don't use our land. We build things on it and around it but we don't actually seem to get much use out of our land other than the fact that it serves a nice stepping stone for building our cities on.
