How does Hannah's Song function as a theme of the books of Samuel?

Hanna's Song is a poem praising to The LORD, and employing the Israelite people to be humble. The song's general consensus states that God is good. He has given the people victory over their enemies and the land promised to their forefathers. The key to this song is the imagery of the humble being exalted and the proud being humbled. This matches the books of Samuel because Hannah, a barren and broken woman, could not have a child but God gave her one. She named him Samuel and consecrated him under Eli. Samuel is called into leadership by God. Saul is chosen by God because the people wanted a king. In desiring a king they rejected God as their king. Saul, like Samuel begins his leadership with humility and a desire to be used by God but becomes proud and disobeys God. David comes after Saul and is "a man after God's own heart."

Hannah's Song renders the humble above the proud. Although Saul began as a humble king, later his position of power and his accomplishments in battle corrupted his heart. Hannah's Song states: "The bows of the warriors are broken, but those who stumbled are armed with strength" (1 Sam 2:4). Hannah, Eli, Samuel, and David all lived lived of humility and dedication to the LORD.

Hannah's Song takes place after she gives her only son to the LORD. She was barren, was given a miracle by God, and gave it right back to Him. She was faithful to her word.
