In the land of Keldrin, many moons ago, a demon of enormous power was born. This demon, spawned from the pits of hell itself, began to wreak havoc on the world, as we know it. Arkemn, the lord of the magic realm, and his protectors went after this hideous demon. After years of fighting, despite Arkemn's best efforts, the demon could not be beaten. More demons were summoned through the gates from the underworld. Arkemn knew that their only hope was the "Mythical Tome of Realms" which held the key to defeating all that was evil, and good.

The demons, aware of Arkemn's plans, set a trap for him. When Arkemn entered the legendary "Uber Zone" with his companions, the demons sprung, slaughtering all of Arkemn's friends, and nearly himself. He barely succeeded in getting the book, let alone getting out alive with it.

Arkemn, whom now possessed the book, retreated to a safe haven called the "Traveller's Den" where he hoped he was safe from the reach of foul demons. There he studied the book, and the massive magic it contained. The book spoke of the 5 elements and the other 3 holy types. All contained powerful spells of destruction and spells of hope. He knew if this book fell into the wrong hands, all would be lost.

He then proceeded to the "Demon Portal" where the demons seemed to be originating from. There he began chanting a powerful banishing magic in an attempt to relieve the demons hold on the mortal plane.

The demons tried to stop him, but with each attempt at their evil magic, Arkemn blocked with some kind of magical barrier. The demons also learned that melee attacks had no effect on him while he was in this odd state.

Upon completion of the spell, after a struggle of sanity and insanity, good and evil, the demons were finally pushed back into the land of nightmares, in hence they came and the portal to hell was once again
