"What is a friend? A single soul in two bodies." Aristotle summed up friendship in this wise quote. Friends come in all shapes and sizes and no two are alike. Even if they are different, they can bring out the best in each other. This can be represented in my two friends, Casey and Anna Kate. They are as opposite as two people can be, but they still bring out the best in me. Casey and Anna Kate are different in looks, personalities, and goals.

First, Casey and Anna Kate are different in their looks. Casey is five feet-eight inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has dark blonde hair that sits slightly above her shoulders and narrow blue eyes that compliment her golden skin. She has a natural beauty that always seems to catch the attention of others. For example, while walking through the mall, it is almost inevitable some young man will try to catch her eye, make a pass, or get her number. On the other hand, Anna Kate's appearance could not be more different. She is five feet-two inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has dark brown, almost black hair that falls down to the middle of her back. Her perfectly round, hazel eyes have specks of gray that seem to repel off of her pale, white face. Though she is attractive in her own way, she can walk through the mall without one person staring. Undoubtedly, these two are complete opposites when it comes to looks.

Next, Casey and Anna Kate are different in their personalities. Casey is more reserved than Anna Kate. If given the chance to spend a night at home or a night out on the town, Casey will more than likely choose to stay at home. She enjoys spending time with her friends occasionally, but she would much rather be at home with her family. For example, when given the chance to go to the beach for our senior trip, Casey chose to stay at home rather than go. Although one would expect her to be excellent in her studies because of her reserved nature, Casey is not very concerned with her grades. She tries her best to study when she has a big test, but otherwise, she is very relaxed when it comes to school. Anna Kate, on the other hand, is more of a people person and would spend every night out with friends if possible.
