ABSTRACT

Mayonnaise  and  soya  milk  made  as  a  hair  treatment, mayonnaise  is  rich  in  protein  that  helps  reconstruct  and  strengthen  hair  strands. It  is  a  stable  emulsion  of  oil, egg  yolk, and  either  vinegar  or  lemon  juice-  with  many  options  for  embellishment  with  other  herbs  and  spices.

Proteins  and  lecithin  in  egg  yolk  serve  as  emulsifiers  in  mayonnaise. An  egg  is  a  free  alternative  that  is  available  for  vegans  and  other  who  want  to  avoid  animal  product  and  cholesterol.

Soya  milk  is  a  plant – based  drink  produced:  soaking  dried  soy  beans,  grinding  them  in  water, boiling  the  mixtures, and  filtering  out  the  residues. It  is  a  traditional  staple  of  East  Asian  cuisine. Soy  milk  is  a  stable  emulsion  of  oil, water  and  protein. The  researchers  also  used  green  tea (cream)  because  it  is  a  good  source  of  polyphenols, vitamin  C  vitamin  E  that  are  helpful  in  stimulating  hair  growth  and  softening  one’s  hair.  (  http://www.stylecraze.com )

This  project  tends  to  help  women  to  solve  their  hair  issues. The  researchers  compared  this  to  L’oreal  product. This  can  be  a  better  alternative  compared  to  commercialized  hot  oil  treatments  because  it  is  naturally  made.

CHAPTER I:

Introduction

Background  of  the  study

Nowadays, people, especially  women,  are  dreaming  to  have  a  straighter, shinier  and  healthier  hair  that  they  could  be  proud  of.

So  the  researchers  explored  and  came  up  to  an  experimental  study  entitled  “Mayo  soy  as  alternative  hair  treatment”  that  will  compare  to  a  commercialized  hair  treatment. The  researchers  believe  that  the  product  can  help  women  to  achieve  their  dreamed  hair.

As  the  generation  moves  forward,  women  are  desiring  to  have  a  smoother, shinier, and  silkier  hair. So  the  researchers  compared  their  very  own  Mayo  soy  into  a  commercialized  hair  treatment  “L’oreal”.

The  researchers  also  did  a  research  about  our  hair. They  found  out  that  our  hair  has  a  natural  protein  called  keratin. As  we  grow  older, our  hair  begins  to  lose  it’s  natural  keratin.

STATEMENT  OF  THE  PROBLEM

This   project  aims  to  help  women  with  their  problem  in  their   hair.  This  project  aims  to  answer   the  following  questions:

  1. Can  mayo  soy  be  a  better  hair  treatment  than  a  commercialize  hair treatment?
  2.  Will  there  be  any  harmful  effects  if  you  use  it  in  your  hair?
  3. Can  the  product  be  a  better  solution  for  women’s  hair  problem?

        HYPOTHESES

1.) Mayo  soy  can  be  a  better   hair  treatment  than  a  commercialized  hot  oil.

2.) Mayo soy has no harmful effects in the consumer’s hair.

3.)The  product  can  help  women  to  have  a  good  looking  hair.

2

SIGNIFICANCE  OF  THE  STUDY

This  study  aims  to  provide  consumers  a  cheaper  option  when  it   comes  to  hair  treatment-  which  is  made  out  of  natural  ingredients  such  as  mayonnaise  and   soya.  Providing  knowledge  about  the  usage  of  mayonnaise  and  soya  as  an  alternative  hair  treatment  is the  main  focus  of  our  research  .  Since  it’s  all  natural ,  it  also  reduces  the  chemical  activities  in  our  surroundings.
