1. In my opinion, Jamila Lyiscott's main point is that we all have different dialects, we use different words and phrases, different tone when we speak, and so on, all of those depending on the context of the situation that we’re speaking in and to whom we are speaking. By describing her experience of speaking English, she artfully conveys the culture and spirit of her people, as well as the linguistic diversity of people living in the United States. She states that there are 3 ways in which she speaks the language depending on whether she speaks to her family, friends, or at school. Through the way she talks, like performing a monologue in a dramatic play, she aims to show that all spoken word can be transformed into poetry. In the process, she plays with the words and introduces different ways of story-telling, similar to the poetry characteristic for the African-American people.

Where actually, it is not a problem for me if I can deal with them in a proper way. Vague and short response will not get extra paid.

2. It is important to use different versions of English and to successfully navigate because in this way, we will be able to speak fluently and coherently in any situation, and we will sound well and properly no matter whether we speak at work or at home. Literacy is not only the language we speak in class, but it is also being able to adjust the way we talk to the circumstances – we cannot talk the same way when we talk to children, with our boss, or with our family. In other words, by being able to navigate multiple versions of English we will be able to express our ideas clearly and effectively so that the listener will understand us no matter the age, gender, our relations of the person, and so on.

3. This video was very useful in helping me understand that alternating between two, three, or even more languages or varieties of a single language even in the same conversations can be extremely useful. It helped me learn that I can fit in a college environment speaking
