Intro: There are many times in life, that you get to vote for something, but is it really something that worth doing. There are many ways for a group of people to make decision other than get everyone together for a vote. Voting is useless, and is just a waste of time.

Even though voting is defined as a method for a group of people to express their opinions or making decisions, but in reality, your opinion does not matter. You are just simply choosing from these given options, there’s nothing about your opinion. If this is the case, why bother to vote.

When you are voting for someone to get certain position, most of the time, the abilities of the candidates do not matter, what actually matters are the interpersonal relationships that the candidates have. A person can have no ability, but they can still be elected because he or she have better networking skills, so that many voters can vote based on their relationship. Then the result does not mean anything, so what’s the point to vote.

if you vote, you have no right to complain. If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in; you have no right to complain. I am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.”

Your vote does not matter. In a national election, the odds of your vote making a difference are very close to zero, then why wasting time to vote?

National election is not the only place you get to vote. Back to high school, when you get to vote for student councils, and your friends is one of the candidates and he is the only one you know. You are more likely to vote for your friends, doesn't matter whether she or he can handle the job or not. If all voters are like that, then the result is just useless.
