Immigration

Immigration is something that is highly debatable amongst US citizens. Many in the United States do not want immigrants to enjoy the benefits of the American way. I feel it's due to the tough economic standards we face currently with soaring unemployment rates. Immigrants are all around us from children to the elderly, either it be from Africa, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, China or Russia however I believe that all immigrants in the past have paved the way for immigrants of today.

If we were once immigrants looking to feed our families why is it any different from the current immigrants? I believe all people that are honest and hard working and in pursuit of happiness should deserve rights to gain citizenship here in the United States just as those of our past have.

Illegal immigrants migrated to the states in search of a better life, to be able to live the "American Dream", and provide for their families. In my thoughts from current events and media coverage, without immigrants America wouldn't be as advanced and well shaped today. Immigration laws are extremely important today more than ever because of terrorists, however many immigrants are only trying to escape poverty in their own countries to establish themselves with enough monetary gain to send back home to their aging and ailing relatives.

Personally I feel America is being shaped gloriously with the different cultures and ethnic diversities in the current United States of America. Immigrants also provide innovated ideas for the future; technology being one. I don't think that sending illegal immigrants back to their countries will solve the capacity issues that have overpopulated us today. In contrast many fail to realize the ambitions of immigrants and their struggles; if we realized what they have witnessed in their country maybe then we would give
