IAM Corporation

Business Plan

IAM Corporation will position itself within Grenada's marketplace to help many new businesses manage all aspects of their company. The letters IAM stands for Imaging and Marketing. This is exactly what the company will do for many of Grenada's new and existing businesses. IAM consulting will provide marketing and advertising services, financial services and provide training and development programs and services to their clients.

The company will be located within the island's business centre known as Grand-Anse. The company will originally establish itself in an office type environment with plans to eventually occupy a larger environment that will create one-stop centre atmosphere. The business centre will provide all of the original services and include a business supplies retail store, a wellness centre, and a cyberspace cafÐ"© and resource centre. How this larger business centre is not part of IAM's immediate plan. The body of this report focuses mainly on the original or market entry plan.

IAM Corporation will offer specialized services in marketing which will include planning, advertising and research. Our financial services will include accounting and bookkeeping and payroll administration. Training and development programs will be developed and delivered to management and their employees of all sizes of businesses.

IAM Corporation has a great advantage as it will be the first consulting business on the island to incorporate all of the fore mentioned services together in its service offerings.

Our customers will include governmental offices, private corporations and many small businesses. IAM Corporation will also target private corporations as these are the companies that will generate great and almost residual revenues for us as they may require most if not all of our services. Governmental offices will also generate great revenue although many of their business services are already provided by another government agency or office. Small businesses will potentially provide continuous and increasing revenues. Small business requires more help as they expand and grow. IAM Corporation will provide all of its services to these consumers.

The recent open market agreement among the Caricom countries, have encouraged the establishment of many new business among the islands. This trend is expected to grow even more within the next five years. The island of Grenada is certainly not exceptional to this increase in established businesses. Real-estate prices on the island have almost doubled within the past 12 months; foreign and local investors are currently putting billions of dollars into new and improved tourism facilities and attractions; and now manufacturing and service industries are being established. It was the under the observation of these now market trends the idea for IAM Corporation was born.

By December 2008 IAM Corporation will open its doors and take advantage of this open Caricom market opportunity so as to be well established and help even more companies get established in Grenada. This will help IAM build relationships regionally and locally, a key in gaining potential customers. IAM Corporation will have 2 owners. Nicole Brathwaite, a Grenadian born, Canadian educated in the areas of Business Administration Finance and International Business with over five years experience in financial services, and accounting. She holds an Institute of Canadian Bankers certificate in financial planning and she is an Associate Institute of Canadian Banker. She worked for major Canadian companies including Scotiabank and Edulinx (A CIBC Bank subsidiary company). Nicole will be valuable in managing the company's financial and marketing functions as she will be able to draw from her work experiences and education in helping companies reach their goals. Clive Houston, the other owner, also born in Grenada and holds a degree in economies and marketing from the US. He has over three years experience in these areas. He worked in Cable and Wireless Grenada marketing department for two and a half years and will be a great contributor to IAM Corporation's personal and consumers marketing needs.

Nicole and Clive, who are also cousins, were both educated through high school on the island. They are both confident, hardworking individuals with creative and driven abilities. Their motivation for this business stemmed from their wish to contribute to and help build their island of birth position itself better in the global market place. The company will be established as a corporation. This legal form of business was chosen in an effort to widen our advantages and reduce risk for the business investors. Owners, Clive and Nicole will be actively participating in the business' day to day operations.
