During the past five days of following gas prices at two local stations, it was noticed that the prices were steady at both stations being observed. The first station observed was the BP on the corner of Buena Vista Road and Amber Drive. The gas prices stayed at 2.91 for regular, 3.01 for mid-grade, and 3.11 for super until the weekend and then the prices rose to 2.93 for regular, 3.03 for mid-grade, and 3.13 for super. This is the same trend for the Spectrum on the corner of Floyd Road and Buena Vista Road. The gas stations have a knack for increasing prices in anticipation of weekend travelers who would use more gas during his or her weekend adventures than what is normally used during day-to-day travel to work.

The price of gas in Phoenix City Alabama, ranges from $2.34 to 3.30 depending on were you purchase your gas from the most reasonable price is the BP gas stations on Summerville road is the cheapest rates that I have seen so far in the Alabama, Phoenix City area. Shell is a company that offers clean gas to their consumers even though there are expensive but they offer natural gas to their consumers. Congress blames the increase in gas to the war in Iran and Iraq, but they do not realize that this issue may influence the increase in gas but this problem we experience it every summer due to the increase in travelers on the road therefore these gas stations abuse there consumers constantly and this situation needs to be solve immediately.

Gas prices are up again, the nationwide average is more than $2.98 a gallon. That's a price many drivers
