Assigned student researchers of 9 – Titanium from Marikina Science High School will conduct a study on making a dishwashing liquid out of the extract of Kamias Leaves. This kind of product was chosen mainly because Kamias trees were effortless to find in this country. The process of making this is simple, it’s very trouble-free for people at home.

This study will encourage the Filipino youth to put up a small business at an early age by selling products they developed themselves. Also to let them learn to be independent and earn money on their own – making today’s youth more productive as they can be.

Hypothesis

The proposed Kamias dishwashing liquid will add improvement to the efficiency and quality of the old home-made Kamias dishwashing liquid in rural places. People in urban places can also use this as their alternative. This dishwashing liquid can help people save and earn money.

Anti-bacterial: Study of the aqueous extract of AB leaves and fruits shows antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The antibacterial activity can be associated with the presence of bioactive compounds of the flavonoids type, like luteolin and apigenin. The results suggest further studies to isolate and identify the responsible compounds.
