An example of comparing in argumentative writing

The Right Kind of Differences

Nobuta Wo Produce (Producing Nobuta) is the title of a very successful and controversial drama that aired in Japan in winter 2005. This drama is taken from a very popular novel with the same title. Nobuta wo Produce is a story about two boys named Shuji Kiritani and Akira Kusano that trying to make a girl that always gets bullied to be the most popular girl in school. However, what makes this drama very interesting to watch is how Shuji and Akira that have very little in common could work together and also become friends. But apparently, their differences are what actually make them a perfect match for each other.

Both of them are actually good looking, but they treat what they have differently. Shuji is good looking in ways that a model student is good looking: he always appears tidy and clean in his uniform. Akira is good looking in ways that a boy who does not really care about physical appearances is good looking, which means he seldom buttons up his shirt and his hair is always a mess. But that certain details making him look wild, and when people see him, they think it is cool, like he has done it in purpose. When in fact, Akira just really does not know how to take care of his appearances. Akira is taller and bigger than Shuji, and if they are standing together side by side, Shuji will look rather delicate than Akira, and it actually always bothers Shuji, because he could not surpass Akira in PE class. And also because he could not get away from Akira when the latter feels like draping himself all over Shuji in what he thinks is a friendly gesture, though for Shuji it is more like invading his personal space.

They both also come from different families. Akira comes from a wealthy family and his father is actually the CEO of a very big company, although if you look at Akira's untidy appearance, you could never tell that. Even though he has his own penthouse, he prefers to live in a very small boarding house with a very weird man that he calls Tofu Man. Shuji comes from an ordinary family and lives in a small apartment with his Father and his little brother. Even though Akira is actually very capable of feeding himself, he often finds himself in Shuji's house, taking advantage of Shuji's father's generosity to eat dinner at their house despite Shuji's loud protests, because Shuji's house feels more like a home to him than his own.

Their personalities are actually what make them clash and fit at the same time. Akira is an honest-to-God kind of person, which means he always says what he really feels and never bothers to spare other's feelings
