Class EMBA #50 – Spring 2017

Alphabet & Wirtel Co.

STL and Kansas City

Name  Mike Rapp EMBA 50 Team E

Instructions:

  1. There are 6 parts to this exam. Be sure you have a complete exam. Read each problem carefully before beginning. This exam is open book, notes, library resources, etc.
  2. The primary purposes of this exam are to (1) reinforce the concepts covered during the course, (2) challenge you to continue to develop your accounting and business knowledge, and (3) provide an input to be used to assign a final grade in the course.
  3. You have two choices when completing this exam. These choices depend on whether you are pursuing the grade of ‘P’ (aka PASS) or the grade of ‘HP’ (aka HIGH PASS).
  1. The following applies for students pursuing a ‘P’ in the course:
  1. You must complete the parts identified as ‘P’ in Table 1 below.
  2. You may seek “guidance” from others to help you over blockages. However, your solution is an individual task, with you alone being responsible for it.
  1. The following applies for students pursuing an ‘HP’ in the course:
  1. You must complete all parts of the exam as shown in Table 1 below.
  2. You may NOT discuss the exam with anyone. All aspects of the exam are your responsibility alone.
  1. The Code of Conduct for the Olin School of Business applies and you will need to sign a form on the next page indicating your understanding of these requirements. Provide full cites to all references used. Please contact the instructor if you have questions about the policy.
  2. Format for your solution: Please take care to (1) put your name on each page, (2) label each question clearly, (3) answer all the questions (but you can focus on parts that you believe will maximize your learning; but do communicate clearly which parts you focused on and which parts were not priorities for you), (4) present your solution in the proper order, and (5) staple the pages of your exam together. In sum, your exam should be organized and presented in a professional manner to enable assessment of your solutions.
  3. There are several files on Blackboard that you may wish to review prior to, or while you are completing the exam, including an Excel template file that you will need to use.
