“What is the world’s view on cloning?”

1. Bob Sullivan, “Religious little consensus on cloning”; 2006, October 4, 2007 Bluford library

Summery- This article is about some religious views of cloning. Sullivan explains, how the religious groups say that it’s ok in a way to clone.

Analysis- Do I think cloning meddles with god’s universe… No, I believe we were in this universe for a reason; a reason to discover and explore. In the Muslim, Jew community both are not in favor of fertilizing embryos to have a complete human but, ok with therapeutic cloning which is cloning for parts of the body. I say, “If you going to dip your foot in the pool you might as well jump inвЂ¦Ð²Ð‚Ñœ

Response- the source helped my in a way of understand where religious people stand in the situation of cloning. This would be something I would love to read more on.

2. George W. Bush. “Both human reproductive cloning and therapeutic cloning should be banned.” April 10, 2002; October 1, 2002.

Summery- This is on President George W. Bush speech in which he talks about banning cloning over-all. In Bush speech he states how some friends of his are paralyzed and still against cloning and how medicine should be a main and helpful; solution.

Analysis- In Bush’s speech he stat “one reason for banning coning is because there is no evidence that therapeutic cloning would really provide cures for diseases.” It takes time for an experiment like this to work. If you look back to how we got some of our cures today; it’s all from the Germans from when they were experimenting on the Jews. Yes, it was cruel but lives are being saved each day because of it.

Response- this source helped me see how our President George W. Bush feels about cloning. I really didn’t care what Bush thinks on cloning.

Summery- This essay talks about how animals such as a flock of sheep that were cloned and behaved just like a regular flock but are used to produce substances useful to humans conjures. Also it talks about how the project of cloning and experimenting is a hit and miss matter.

Analysis- Yes, it’s a hit and miss matter but look on the bright side, the real question is, “would it help usвЂ¦Ð²Ð‚Ñœ Look at it this way the world wouldn’t have known anything about humans if it wasn’t for doctors experimenting on animals.

Response- this source helped me by showing how cloning animals is beneficial to because with out it we wouldn’t have known anything about ourselves. This source showed how we relate to animals more than we think…

Summery- In this article Fitzgerald talks about how cloning don’t really benefits humans it’s too risky. Cloning is risky in ways that it will not replace a dead or dying child nor will it cure people.

Analysis- I understand that there are risk involved with cloning but in order to know more about the human body you got to expand…

Response- This source helped a little in a way of knowing risks of cloning. I also learned how cloning will cause substantial risks to health and welfare
