When a person thinks about the word team, the first thing that comes to mind is probably a sports team; although the association of the word team mainly is circulated around team sports, there are however more activities in the world that involve the association of teams. An example of this would be teams in the business world. In a fortune 500 company like Enron, or maybe just a small local business a team or teams may be formed, to evenly spread ideas throughout a company. Pete Battisti in a magazine article titled walls and ceilings say's, "When the leader of a family, business or country communicates goals to others, there must be buy-in, which you get through trust. Goals are great, however, people don't really buy into another person's goals unless they trust that person" (Battisti, 2006 78(2)); with good communication comes the trust that Mr. Battisti is talking about. Team association is another good example of team communication; teams in school are a good example. There are two or three different examples of teams in a school; which include a beta club, 4h club, or maybe even a debate team. There are teams in just about every thing or every where a person goes. Although each kind of team that is mentioned is all different, each one has a similar moral, or ethic behind it. That ethic or moral would be team work. With team work, comes great communication. No group can ever be successful with just one person doing all of the work for an entire group. There is no I in team, and that is a fact. One person can make a team good, but it takes everyone in that team to make it successful; and with that said, it all starts with team communication. Every one on a team has to be on the same page in order for a team to be successful. In saying that every one has to be on the same page, this means that each group member needs to understand their role in the group and maximize their talents to the fullest for the group. All of the groups members putting forth a valiant effort, allows for a great team to be formed, with great chemistry. Team communication is important because communication allows for a group to be successful, every group member has to do their part in order for the team to be successful, and one person can't be a team by themselves, it takes a team as a whole to be successful.

Team communication is important because communication allows for a group to be successful. In order for a team or group to be successful, all of the members of the team or group have to be on the same page. All solutions are met through team work, an example of this is when a computer malfunction happened at a Idlewild Baptist church, in Tampa, Fl; the IT manager of the church David Bolden was concluded to saying "We had a tough time finding one vendor that could ensure all of our installation and service requirements were met, We finally decided on working with multiple vendors, with different strengths, that could work together. In the end, this was our best choice for timely installation and efficient ongoing system performance."(Gagne,2006 23(4)). Sound team communication was needed in this particular situation everyone is working to their strengths to get the task at hand done. In other words, when saying the same page, it means that each individual has to play their role. If one member is better than another member as far as research is concerned, then that member needs to handle the research side of the paper. What is the weakness of one group member might be the strength of another. While in a team it is important that each group member knows the strength and weaknesses of its fellow members, and should help each other out when necessary. Team communication is important in many fields of work, and in some professions, team work could mean the difference of life or death, as Peter Sabal manager of a health service provider say's "I began my health care career in patient financial services (PFS) prior to my transition to my current role in the Managed Care Services Department. My PFS background gives me a valuable insight into the gaps in communication between PFS and the managed care office (MCO). I also see the value in bridging those gaps and maintaining an active exchange of information" (Sabal, 2006 p1(2)). The exchange of information is a great example of sound communication; a team member should never put a fellow team member in an awkward position, meaning that if a member knows that a fellow team member is not good at research, then why would a team assign research to that particular team member. Confiscating for one another is what being in a team is all about and all of this comes about with communication. With good communication skills, it would be very hard, for anyone to break a well oiled machine.

Every group member has to do their part in order for the team to be successful. While in a team, the majority of the time, each member is assigned a particular part of the workload in which that group member is responsible for. It is important that everyone in the group do their part to make sure that the group is successful. If there are four people in a group, and you have one or two members, not doing their part, then that messes up the chemistry of the whole group. Every one in a group has a part to play in it, and if you have even just one member not doing their part, the team will fail. In a case study done by the Chemist and Druggist magazine, an MD in a pharmaceutical company; sets up tea meetings saying that "Communication with the pharmacy team is essential. We take a consultative approach and aim to solve problems as a team. We have monthly managers' meetings. We also invite staff to "tea with the MD" where they can discuss any ideas they may have on how systems might be changed to improve the business" (chemist &druggist, 2006. p29). This is a example of an MD coming with their team, and having a gathering for a much needed conference call on the importance of communication, and everyone in the pharmacy doing their part to allow continued success for the pharmacy. Team chemistry is important because in order for a group to be successful, everyone has to get involved because majority of the time, a group of three cannot do a job made for four people to do. This is why it is so important that every one in a group do their part, in order for the group to be successful. Another reason why it is important for each group member to do their part is because it is just the right thing to do. The assignment that is given to a team is given to a team for a reason; it was given to these individuals so that each person could do their part to get the task at hand done. Each member of a group has a unique ability to bring to the group, therefore, it is important that each individual understand that ability, and use it to help his or her group
