Jay Z and his accomplishments

He was born in Brooklyn's Marcy Projects, He got his first break when a fellow Marcy resident, The Jaz (Big Jaz) let Jay Z guest on a few tracks. When the deal came to an end Jay Z reverted to hustling the streets to make money. This period gave him his experience and formed some basis for some later material. Over this period of time he did keep his hands in the game he also featured in other music tracks with Big Daddy Kane, and the group Original Flavor. It wasn't until the mid-90's that he returned to hip hop to continue his earlier material.

After the he continued to build on his success with hip hop releasing album after album. He also grouped up with Damon Dash and Kareem Burke to start the renowned Rock-A-Fella Records. With this he could now build his fame even more helping out other hip hop artist to build careers in music. With this new success with other singers he helped some incoming new artist like Young Jeezy, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, and many others. With this he also became the president of the Def Jam Labels taking it over and singing on new artist one of the most shocking was Nas.

With all this new fame Jay Z later did what most rap artist don't even dream of he open a club for the public called the 40/40 club. This club was to show everyone that u can go from having nothing to having the money to do anything you want. Jay Z wanted

to share his wealth and fame with everyone. The name 40/ 40 comes from 4 famous

baseball players for their records or 40 home runs and 40 base steals. All 4 of the baseball players have their jerseys hanging in the main room of the 40/40 club to be remembered.
