A DRAMATIC STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING

This family had to go through the nightmare of any human being who embarks on the ocean. Their boat; the Lucette was wrecked by a killer whale, therefore they took to their dinghy and had been adrift for thirty-seven days before they were rescued by a Japanese fishing vessel.

The family shared with us this dramatic story and the ordeal they went throw, while being with their twins’ boys in the middle of the ocean.

Of course is not hard for us to imagine the difficult moment these parents went through after being more than a month in a small dinghy, praying and waiting for someone to rescue them.

Only their words could describe the moment when the Japanese fishing vessel approached them, at first they remembered that days before another ship had passed close from them, but their signal had been unnoticed, but Lyn remembered she prayed “Oh God, please let them see us” when finally the ship saw them, Lyn described that moment when she and the twins were crying with happiness, the father said to her “ Our ordeal is over” “We’ll get these boys to land after all”.

Inevitably what follows is the story of an ordinary family going through such a difficult time that values every moment of life like never before.

When they remembered the moments after the rescue they expressed their mixed feelings crying and smiling with emotion, because every simple gesture of kindness from the sailors were like an enormous gift for them “I shall remember the taste of that beautiful liquid to the end of my days” said the father while remembered the orange juice they been offered as soon as they got to the ship.

The twins were carried by the crew to a large four feet deep, hot sea water bath, they remembered that moment like the most luxury pleasure in their life, after being in the middle of the ocean with no warm water, no soap, no hot meal, no clothes that was the greatest luxuries of mankind.
