The Hub Watch

Question

Have you ever forgotten to close the garage door or lock your house? Is there a simpler way to digitally turn off your lights at home when your not actually at home? Or even turn on the AC from literally anywhere. Is there something that can let us do all that and more with simply a touch of a screen and without opening individual apps on our phones?

Problem/Opportunity

The opportunity that is at hand is marvellous. With the Hub Watch, the possibilities are endless. Imagine being in a situation where you forgot to turn on the alarm, or lock your door, or even turn off the AC in your home, now all that is not a problem with the Hub Watch. Do all this and more with no effort all on a device on your wrist. There is no need to open up 5 different apps to do all those task, just one watch will do it all.

There was a time when i forgot to put on the alarm at home and I had to come back from an hour drive just to put the alarm on, and I ended up missing the party. My problem could have been easily fixed if I had the Hub Watch.

Community/Market

The target market or consumer community I would describe as Busy people. People who are in a rush to get out and about with their lives. An example of this would be an everyday busy mom. A person such as a mother supposedly with kids and a hectic lifestyle. For the days when she forgets to lock the door because she was running late, or didnt turn on the alarm before dropping the kids off, she doesn't have to worry anymore if she has the Hub Watch.

Idea Generation Method(s)

I used the Idea Generation Method of Computer-assisted Discovery. I used this method of ideology because my whole invention is revolved around the idea of a new generation smart watch. At the end of the day, it does what we hope it does best, which is to tell time. The evolutionary product I have created just enhances a masterful product and gave it more task to endure. I used the duration of a fitbit watch, and gave it a screen with more functionality than a smartphone would have, but its main purpose to to run your home from the wrist on your arm.
